Elena has a background in Chemical and Process Engineering. She earned her B.S and M.S. at the University of Padova, Italy.
Her master thesis was developed at the University of Surrey, UK, under the ERASMUS program (European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students). The thesis was entitled “Experimental investigation of sugar aqueous solutions separation by Reverse Osmosis for the Manipulated Osmosis Desalination process”.
Currently, she is an Industrial Engineering PhD student at the University of Padova. Her research is focused on nutrient recovery and recycling strategies to improve the sustainability of microalgae cultivation for biofuels production.
